The Yew Tree is a fine 17th century building in a pleasant setting close to Highclere Castle.
The Yew Tree is a charming 17th Century Inn set in idyllic Berkshire countryside just over an hour from London. Renowned within the local community and further afield, the famed Inn cleverly encompasses country pub and restaurant.
We have a welcoming bar serving a selection of local ales as well as an outstanding wine list. The food is exceptional and the kitchen is under the careful eye of Nick Beavon, our head chef. All dishes take advantage of the British seasons and meticulous sourcing means that the greater part of our ingredients hail from no more than a 30 mile radius. Favourites include Roast haunch of venison, brioche crouton, curly Kale & foie gras and the famed Yew Tree fish and chips, sauce tartare with crushed peas. The Yew Tree is the perfect destination for locals and travelers alike. We have seven contemporary cosy bedrooms available for those looking to relax for the evening or a long weekend.
